Location and Overview - 1973
In 1973 the OAS was able to make an assessment of the property and recommended that limited rescue excavations take place. By the time we got there the house was in considerable disrepair. We could not work close to the house because of the deconstruction activities. These photos show the house before, during and after the house move. I was an undergraduate at the time and the excavations were funded on a shoestring budget. I used my own camera that I’d owned in high school. It had no light meter. I’ve done my best to correct the exposures and colour fading in the scanned slides.
